My Makes // Knitted drinks holder

Hi, yep, you've guessed it - I've been knitting again!

My latest knit was a quick one that I picked from this 150 Thrifty Knits book. It's full of quick knit projects that you can pick up and complete in a weekend and it's great if, like me you've got a stash of oddments leftover from previous projects.

I chose to knit a drinks / flask cover / holder thingy.

I find that I am constantly having to stick name labels on the kids drinks bottles for school, which wash off daily. I thought maybe if they had a named holder instead, then no need for labels. We shall see how this goes in practice. I foresee it getting a bit sticky but I can pop it in the washing machine at the end of the week so that it's ready to use again on Monday morning.

I had half a ball of wool left over after knitting this scarf, so I used that.

I finished knitting it over the weekend and completed the sewing up and name stitching on Monday.

I've started the second one for my eldest. She's chosen the yarn (below) and I will blanket stitch a knitted heart onto it.

Have you completed any crafty / knit projects just lately?

  1. These are adorable and great for stopping kids losing their bottles...I hope!
I seem to be having the month of all the scarves. Made one each for the stepsies and onto a herringbone snood for my mum, which is kind of lovely, might have to keep it for myself.
