This week I'm linking up again with Hannah at Make Do and Push! to share the things we've been up to this week.
Its been a week of alternating 'mum' mode and 'work' mode. Monday involved taking the girls to Crealy, which mostly resulted in a loop of me chasing the girls from ride to ride, getting wet and losing the girls in the indoor play area.
On Wednesday we nipped into Honiton to drop off a bag of kids clothes at the charity shop, but came away with a few items for my Autumn/ Winter wardrobe for the happy sum of £23! My haul included a peplum top (Dorothy Perkins), wrap-around top (Great Plains) striped cardie (H&M), Tunic (Next), black skirt (Linea), red skirt (Monsoon) and green cropped jeans (White Stuff)
Friday was nice and sunny so we went on a blackberry picking mish. We bagged quite a lot so when we got back we used them to make a smoothie. In went the blackberries we'd picked, two chopped bananas, 4 juiced oranges, grated ginger, a pot of natural yogurt, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a splash of milk. We whizzed it up in the blender and consumed - lush! I sometimes sneak in a handful of spinach to add a bit of green veg to the mix.
Its also been a week of knitting (me), painting (the girls) and baking (the girls with me helping) I designed the 'thank you' sampler but not sure what to do with it. I need to work on the motif, colour and shape. The flowers don't really look like flowers. It's a work in progress. My infinity scarf has taken a back seat for now. Its almost complete but I want to knit a cardie for my niece first.
And finally, we headed to the coast today. This is Sidmouth taken from Connaught Gardens overlooking the beach.
I hope you have all had a good week.
