Well its back to work for most, (although not me!) following a truly Great British Jubilee weekend (Hip Hip Hooray to you, Your Majesty!) and despite the disappointing weather (this is Britain after all) we had a fab time celebrating our Queens 60 year reign.
Now I love bunting at the best of times, so it was a treat to see it literally everywhere. The celebratory spirit was in abundance and with lots going on, we were spoilt for choice for where to go. On Saturday though we headed to Cadhay Jubilee Fair, near Ottery St Mary where the girls succeeded in emptying my purse completely - but all good fun. The gardens there are gorgeous so I had to take lots of photos.
When the weather turned bad, the TV footage was great of the Royal celebrations and so we sat, watched, cooked and ate lots, enjoyed a few celebratory glasses of wine (rude not to) and felt proud! (Gary Barlow certainly earns 'man of the match' for his efforts)
The social club provided evening entertainment for the locals and tired the kids out!
For us, it was a weekend spent mingling with the local folk, feeling proud to be British and having a jolly good old time!
